We wanted to share a couple of the Thank you notes we have received from families that were helped this past Christmas with proceeds from the Night of Giving.

Words cannot express our deep appreciation and gratitude for your generosity and kindness.

We were so discouraged when we knew we couldn’t buy Christmas for our children this year.

I wish you could be there to see their faces as you will have made their Christmas very special.

As a mother, I am humbly and forever grateful!  Thank you!

#2

Thank you.

Thank you for your kind works and consideration of our entire family.

Thank you for your gift of money, support, love and charity.

We would like you and everyone that took part in the Christmas money donations to

know that we consider what was done not just

an act of kindness, but a miracle in our lives.

The timing of your gift and the spirit in which it was given could not have been more perfect.

We were able to got Wal-Mart, Sam’s club and the mall about one hour after you came to our home,

to purchase Christmas gifts for our immediate family.

Thank you for making this happen.

Each family member received a couple of clothing items from Mom and Dad and Santa was able to bring one gift for each of the family members.

The stockings were full with fresh oranges, fruit roll ups, some assorted nuts and a few other sweet treats.

(All eaten within 24 hours) Ü

We have always believed that Christmas is more than just presents.

You and those that participated with you should know that each of you are angels on earth.

Doing as our Father in Heaven and Savior would have done.  You are working miracles in other people’s lives.

It is said that if you wish to perform miracles, you must first plan to perform that miracle.

We are very thankful for the items that were purchased with your money.

We are deeply touched and will forever be grateful for your act of faith and your efforts to work miracles in our lives.

We have thanked our Father in Heaven for you and pray that everyone involved will know that we feel welcomed and loved in our new home.

We look forward to doing our part to pay it forward and follow your eample when we can.

Phillipians 1:3 ” I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.”

With love and appreciation.

The Greater Smithfield Chamber of Commerce raises $5,000 for Birchcreek Elementary

Pictured is Trudy J. Wilson, Principal of Birchcreek Elementary on left and Bart Caley, 2011 Greater Smithfield Chamber of Commerce President.

Principal- Trudy J. Wilson

I grew up in Smithfield and attended Summit Elementary, North Cache Jr. High, and Sky View High School. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University. I taught one year in the Cache County School District before moving to Tempe, Arizona for my husband to attend school.

While In Tempe, I received my Masters of Science in Administration from Arizona State University. I also taught in the Tempe Elementary School District for 10 years. I have two sons that were both born in Arizona. In 1999 my husband and I decided to move back to Cache Valley. It was the best decision we have made.

Since returning to Smithfield I have worked as the Vice Principal at Cedar Ridge Middle School for three years and the Principal of Summit Elementary for six years. Being at Birch Creek is an amazing opportunity. I’m so fortunate to work with such wonderful educators, parents, and students.

My door is always open. Feel free to stop by, call or email any time. Thank you for letting me work with your children.
